Fortnite Reload Update June 27 Patch Notes
Duos added to Fortnite Reload
Crawl speed is now faster while “down-but-not-out.”
Shotguns now drop more often from chests.
Exotic and Mythic items drop slightly less frequently.
Modified Reboot Duos Respawn Time
Firstly, the crawl speed has been increased when players are “down but not out.” This is referring to the state where players are downed and can be revived by their teammates. The increased crawl speed should allow them to find cover faster, giving their teammates some more breathing space to deal with the current threat before reviving them.
Apart from that, shotguns will now spawn more frequently in Reload. This has the potential to shake up the meta depending on how drastic the change is, considering the fact that the smaller size of the map makes Fortnite weapons like the shotgun much more useful in Reload. Additionally, Exotic and Mythic items will drop less frequently in the game, which should lead to more balanced encounters.
Last but not least, Fortnite has also made some changes exclusive to Duos. The reboot timings in Fortnite’s Duo mode have been reduced, allowing players to jump back into the game much more quickly as compared to the Squads mode. Considering that the respawn behavior is one of the most interesting aspects of the mode, the faster respawn time should make the matches much more exciting, and could even help Fortnite players in winning a Reload match.
