New LEGO Fortnite Game Mode Has Serious GTA Vibes

LEGO Fortnite is bringing a GTA-like game mode to the title’s universe of ever-expanding ways to play. Fortnite recently released Chapter 6, “Hunters,” and with it came many new expansions and improvements to the always-popular title.
One of the many new implementations headed to Fortnite is the addition of an in-game text chat feature. This allows players to use text to chat not only in lobbies but in any game mode, as well as the ability to DM friends. In order to protect users, especially those under the age of 13, certain filters will also be implemented when the feature drops on December 10.

A recent leak from Fortnite could potentially be teasing a major collaboration planned to hit the game during a future update.
LEGO Fortnite is adding a game mode similar to GTA with Brick Life on December 12. In this new mode, players will be able to explore new locales alongside 31 other users as they take on new professions, build their dream homes, and more. Along with this news, the main way to play LEGO Fortnite is being renamed as LEGO Fortnite Odyssey. Starting in this update, LEGO Fortnite will be the name of the hub inside of Fortnite that contains all LEGO experiences. Since its release on December 7, 2023, the game mode has seen multiple expansions, with the Lost Isles update being the most recent addition to LEGO Fortnite.
The Lost Isles update also added the ability to build vehicles in the game. Klombos also began appearing in LEGO Fortnite, allowing players to find and tame the massive creatures as companions in the Minecraft-like survival game. LEGO fans can also farm, fish, explore caves, build expansive villages, and more in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite also added a Halloween update this year, which has its own pass available until December 10. Players hoping to rush through this LEGO pass can earn special Halloween-themed pieces to build with, along with prefabricated haunted buildings. Players can also trick-or-treat with villagers and find characters wearing spooky costumes throughout the world.
