Over the last few days, we’ve looked at the best point guards, shooting guards, small forwards, and power forwards in NBA 2K21, and now it’s time to continue discovering the best centers. The biggest men on the court, which centers are set to dominate the game this year? Here’s the full list.
Joel Embiid – 94
Joel Embiid is as dominant as the NBA has ever seen with decent shooting ability and excellent paint skills. He’s managed to average 24 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game for his entire career. With his continued quality despite injuries this season and lack of playoff success, Embiid should retain his 94 OVR rating in NBA 2K21. Nikola Jokic – 94
Nikola Jokic has quickly evolved into the most exciting center to watch in the NBA and is a huge presence for the Denver Nuggets. With some of the best Inside Scoring, Outside Scoring, Playmaking, and Rebound ratings in the game, Jokic is a 3-Level Playmaker that solidified himself as one of the best centers available. Also, he has amazing passing ability, shooting ability, ball handling, and is still a beast in the paint when needed. Jokic’s wide range of skills and few weaknesses will keep him at the top of centers in NBA 2K21, and he’ll retain his 94 OVR rating.
Karl-Anthony Towns – 90
Not only is Karl-Anthony Towns one of the most exciting young players to watch in the NBA today, but he is also one of the most offensively gifted centers in the league as well. Towns is a huge offensive threat with great shooting ability, paint presence, and is coming off a career season for points and assists in a struggling Timberwolves lineup. An NBA 2K21 overall of 90 seems right on the money, especially when you consider he’s already averaging substantial numbers for the 2020-21 NBA season that is still in its infancy.
Bam Adebayo – 89
Standing at roughly 6’9″, Bam Adebayo doesn’t have the raw size expected out of the center position in the NBA. The reason he’s been able to be successful despite the lack of height is due to his unrelenting energetic play and hustle. Bam Adebayo is one of the most intriguing players in the league due to his two-way prowess. He’s a capable distributor and scorer on the offensive end, but what makes Bam Adebayo stand out is his defense. He is nimble enough to switch onto perimeter-oriented guards yet athletic enough as a big man to guard the paint. Sitting at an 89 overall.
Nikola Vucevic – 88
Nikola Vucevic has been one of the best rebounders in the association for quite some time now. The Orlando Magic big man is a walking double-double and one of the most consistent centers in the NBA. Albeit his team is not the best, Vucevic has remained a star in the league. Promising rookie Cole Anthony might help Vucevic lead the Orlando Magic to the playoffs this season, allowing the center to showcase his talent to the world. This year he was given an 88 overall rating in 2K21.
Rudy Gobert – 88
Rudy Gobert is a rock-solid center for the Utah Jazz. He is as much as you could ask for in a defensive-minded center, with a huge presence in the paint and a knack for pulling down rebounds. While he’s not the most successful on the offensive side of the ball, he’s coming off a career year for rebounds and FG%. Gobert’s continued excellence in the paint on defense and some small improvements on offense will lead to a bump up to 88 OVR in NBA 2K21.
Kristaps Porzingis – 86
While Kristaps Porzingis still has some growing to do on the defensive end, this young 25-year-old is still a deadly threat all around the court and level up to 86 OVR in NBA 2K21. There’s no denying that Porzingis is a special player who provides a unique set of skills at the center position.
Christian Wood – 85
If you’re asking who Christian Wood, then you are not alone. He’s not known, but Wood has shown that he’s a solid NBA player. After joining the Houston Rockets again, Wood averaged 21 points on good efficiency, excluding his free throws, reflected in his 2K rating. Christian Wood can score at close range, rebound the ball, or shoot it beyond the perimeter, all while drawing fouls effectively. This year he was given an 85 overall rating in 2K21.
